Operational need

Monitoring large or remote areas over time is essential for detecting unauthorized constructions, suspicious activities or environmental changes. Ground patrols and static sensors provide limited coverage and cannot efficiently monitor large or inaccessible environments.

Aerial ISR platforms enable periodic observation of the same area and allow operators to detect changes that may indicate emerging threats or unauthorized activity.

Solution

Stabilized ISR payloads mounted on UAV platforms enable repeatable aerial observations over any defined area, capturing consistent imagery across successive missions without relying on fixed infrastructure. Change detection algorithms run directly on the gimbal payload, no external processing unit required, automatically comparing successive EO/IR observations to identify terrain modifications, new structures or suspicious activity, including subtle changes that ground-level observation or manual image analysis would miss.

Each observation pass is georeferenced and timestamped, enabling systematic change detection and building an evolving operational picture of the monitored environment without ground-side computation.

Result

Operators obtain a tactical overview with automatically flagged changes within the monitored area (georeferenced, timestamped, and ranked by significance), without requiring manual frame-by-frame image comparison.
